Question by Sasuke: Does the length of a Bass guitar’s neck effect the sound it makes?
I want to get the ARTB100 Ibanez bass guitar but it’s neck is 4 inches shorter than a normal bass. Will it sound the same as a normal bass?

Well, I’m not to sure what a normal sounding bass is, but i think i know what you mean. Yes it will sound normal, but it will have less, smaller frets to play on. Which is what some people like, others not so much.

From experience, shorter bass have a bit of a “shorter” sound. That is, thumpier, with less sustain.
