Question by sdaa: How much money should I spend on my first bass and amp?
I’m planning on learning bass, and I’m going to purchase one from a local music store.
1. How much would you spend on a decent bass? (Practice mostly)
2. How much would you spend on a decent amp? (Practice)
3. Any brands that you recommend?

I’d appreciate some tips/pointers about picking out a bass, thanks!

Go to a music store and try the instruments out. Buy the one that fits you. It’s going to be a relationship. See what local pawn shops want for small bass amps. You’d be really lucky to find a good tube amp for $ 100.
