One of the most important points of this video is comfort and balance.
Before we get into technique, style, approach or whatever, you’ll find real
quick when you play even a 2-3 hour show that numbing pain in your shoulder
says you got the strap set wrong for you and that your bess isn’t balanced.
Don’t fight the thing. It’s gotta sit there and let you do your thing. If
you’re constntly fighting your bass for balance and position, it affects
your playing tremendously.

@aassyr1111 When you start off any comment with “I’m not Racist, but…”,
guess what? Your racist.

Yeah, there’s nothing racist about that. It’s a compliment you fucking
idiot. It’s stating an opinion that is not discriminating. Like an opinion
of you would be like, you leave fucking ignorant comments because your mum
was drunk whilst conceiving you. Y’know?

That is a good idea! I like “The look” of wearing the bass low, but it is
impossible for me to play many songs correctly when doing so.

caps lock in hopes of being noticed, always trying to be better than
everyone, at the same time trying to impress just in case there’s someone
who might be useful to you or your happiness… low IQ, quick to judge,
think you can get away with anything as long as your happiness is
up-to-par. you’re also going to think about replying to this saying that
i’m wrong… but you know it’s true, you’re just afraid of anyone knowing
your true self. don’t fuck with me

I know what you mean mate! You get a good sense of the rhythm, When you sit
and hold the Bass close to your body. It also gives a nice full tone, But
also a hollow kind of sound, That resonates.

Flea is great. so is wooten, pastorious, miller, larry graham, Jamerson,
stanley… The list goes on. For a strap I recommend the strap locks !!
saving grace ! Aswell, A pretty good standard for bass height in reference
to proper technique and posture, it should be approx 1″ above your lag when
sitting down. good reference standard.

@TheOzzyCometh wow, you summed it up perfectly man. There’s so much
bullshit on youtube arguing about flea being the “best” bass player and
what not. If only everyone read your comment.

@cortJPS they have to choose because like most wannabe musicians they have
to come off as being elitist in some way, which is basically like saying
anyone else has no valid opinion. I would side step flea and move onto Les
Claypole here, now he may not be the best bassist in your opinion but les
sounds like les and he does it better than anyone else…. wow i think ive
just come up with a new concept “BE YOURSELF!”

I prefer bass position bottom of balls and top of knees.

small word of advice turn down your amp. you have to turn the volume up to
listen to you cause you are soft spoken but then you play the scale and
almost blew out my speakers :)
