Art of Motion [Andy Mckee] cover
*NEW* FACEBOOK PAGE: facebook.com Sorry for the low volume and some inaccuracies. Was this hard! It took me a week to get it all together. And I had to learn half of the song by ear. It was really tricky… but really fun to play. Please comment! Thanks! **************************************************************** Hello guys! I badly need a favor. Learn from Jeff McEralin – truefire.at Official Jeff McErlain website – www.JeffMcErlain.com Kings of Tone – http Are you getting the tones you want from your guitar? Before you start laying out cash for pedals and pricey amps, be sure you know all the tonal variations available using just your hands and your guitar’s onboard electronics. In this video tutorial, I’ll show you how you can start to get an idea of how broadly you can vary your sound depending on how you set your pickups, tone pots, and volume. For example, you can change between a gainy sound a clean sound just by using your volume knob. You may also notice that the volume on 10 is a lot brighter than the volume on 6 — so, in the volume pot alone you’ve got the potential for some significant treble/bass variation. For me, the volume knob is a lot more usable and flexible than dealing with master/gain controls or dual-channel amps. Watch the video below to learn how pickup selectors, volume, tone and picking technique can open up the tonal possibilities on your guitar. Just these few controls give way to so many tonal variations. These ideas are demoed here using my Strat, but the same approaches can be used to similar effect on any electric guitar. The video goes by pretty fast but I hope you’ll get a lot out of it. For more details and explanations about tonal magic, check my latest set of guitar lessons in Kings Of Tone.

A cute girl playing one of my Andy Mckee’s favourite song, that’s incredibly sweet. Very great cover, nice interpretation of the song, not mechanical at all.
Have a nice day.
@pusablanca oh but you are kyoooter! *u* *kilig* we’re officially MU haha!:) thanks, feanne!:)
OMG *YOU* are so kyoot! :3 *mutual admiration club!*
@dacrowster I wasn’t at 3:00 !
Which amp/FX do you use?
Herman Li of Dragon Force is all over the controls when he plays, watch his improv solo video on youtube for a great example
Great playing! Thanks for the tips too! I kind of automatically go to the hard picking dynamic , which is all good but it doesn’t give you anywhere to go accept to step on a pedal and be louder. Lucky for me though, I think my mid/bridge selection is out of phase. Sounds great for major solos!
i have only one tone knob and it sounds bright in the humbucker position wat to do????? pls help
really good playing and instruction
that tone is amazing.
This is the best video ive ever seen explaining tone dynamics. Awesome playing Awesome!
i think one simple mistake that beginner guitarists always make, is not using the options on the guitar. like something as simple as changing pickups makes such a big difference in the sound of a particular riff or lick. even rolling back the volume to clean up the tone can make a world of difference when it comes to a coherent tone
nice playing
its a neat technique to use the volume knob as a kind of EQ rather than just a straight volume thing
nice tone…
Great Man….!!!
AWESOME WHISKERS!
great tips better licks thanks a ton
Question…I use a strat. I find that when I roll off the volume to clean the tone I also lose volume to the point where it really drops off. Can you offer amp set up examples that will allow me to go dirty with volume at 10 and allow the tone to clean up with a slight roll back on the knob? (6 ot 7) I use a Vox AC30 C2 by the way. Thanks
@MANinBLACK103 2 tones knobs, 1 volume knob. The front tone knob is for the neck pickup, the rear one is for the other 2 pickups. Lots of guitars have separate tone knobs for each pickup.
please stop talking!!! just play guitar you sound great!
very sweet tone and intelligent video! thanks
i got that guitar
you talk too much son. let the guitar do the talking
@gnrfanatic141414 Sounds easier than it is. You can play great on an acoustic, but as soon as you switch to an electric, you’re going to get frustrated as heck by all the excess string noise. You have to learn how to palm mute and stop string noise, how to do get a sustained vibrato, string bending, etc. I’ve seen people play the same things on an acoustic and sound fantastic and then on an electric and it sounds like a total mess. It’s tough, but fun to keep trying to get both down.
@brandonmarks13279 turn your mid up!
@emilowich hmmmm no most of them dont come stock. i have two, an HSS and an SSS, and neithe rof them did.
@MANinBLACK103
On a standard strat that middle knob is the tone control for the middle pickup. Reason why not all guitars have that may be that almost no one uses it
