I typically use the D and A strings on the top frets for the main riff…I
guess there’s really no “wrong way” to play it as long as it’s comfortable
and the notes are correct…

I like your vids you do it over and over again with the main riff and your
are in a good position so that that the people can see you play it and your

The two bar section sounds a lot nicer if you use the 5th and 7th frets on
the E string instead of 3 and 5

I can’t tell you exactly what (I’m a relatively new player), but the
version I use is much simpler to play since it uses only 3 frets. If you’re
interested, I found it on songsterr.

All good suggestions….I tend not to use effects too much on videos as
when YoUTube compresses the sound it ends up sounding weird. If I were
playing it live I’d probably use thumb and palm muting for the sound – but
that would be too complex for a tutorial aimed at beginners!
