I agree. LOL! However, most basses today stackup their knobs.
that bass needs more knobs.
someone once told me you cant play bass to everything.
I can answer with the voice as Arnold: WRONG!!
This guy totally sucks as a player.
ME GUSTA!!!

09:20 that was majestic.
Not necessarily. Digital has come a LONG way.. I have plenty of digital products where you literally would not be able to tel the difference. The sound in this clip makes the Boss GT10b sound like ass though… Especially the distortions… ugh
@JSprayaEntertainment ok thanks
Google and youtube are amazing for info … but mono as in single channel … not stereo … like Left channel only kinda … like , a guitar is Mono .. or a Mic .. i was hoping to use this as a Stereo FX send like a korg kaoss pad or rack mounted unit
Nope, Ken Lawrence for sure! Check out the headstock of this thing
Analog > Digital

Maybe I’m blind, but where do you see a Fodera?
It’s a Ken Lawrence bass

can u use this for guitar just for fun?
Whoa. That guy has a Warwick Dolphin Pro I (which is $7000) AND a custom Fodera monarch (more than $12,000).
WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? xD
I gotta get one of these!
Hybrid bassists ftw!
Mind-blowing stuff.
He should make a passive Precision or Jazz version of this thing.
Bryan Cranston, bass master
Metallica is anything but one note rock and even if that were true, he’s had his bass slung that low since the Suicidal Tendencies days.
Sadly, in his current role, RT has been relegated to one note rock.
I’ve tried fanned frets, and it doesn’t do anything in the way of easing strain on joints. It plays about the same as straight frets, a few minutes in and any strangeness disappears. It does help with string to string feel and tone, but it’s not meant as an ergonomic thing.
On another note, I have a twist neck made by Jerome Little, and it plays like butter. It is pretty easy on the wrists, and that’s something that I’ve had problems with in the past.
Hello, my name is Oliver Sohngen. I just would like to categorically dispute that Little Guitar works came up with the twisted neck design. I myself have made 4 twisted neck basses complete with ergonomically shaped bodies in 1987-89. To my utter disappointment a guy named Burrell had already back then a patent for the twisted neck and the askew alignment of strings for any stringed instrument. Upon seeing that patent I gave up any hope to ever market my design, which produced great instruments.
Rob Trujillo has his bass slung lower than pretty much anyone I’ve ever seen and he doesn’t seem to have a problem with technique.
I’ve actually heard it should be easier… haven’t tried one so I don’t KNOW… but… that’s what I’ve heard :b
I like the concept of these ergonomic basses. It seems like too many manufacturers have been locked into one basic design for too long, and that there are better ways of designing the instrument for less physical strain and stress on the player while still maintaining good tone. What does anyone have to say about “fanned” frets, for example?
One of the best reviews I’ve seen on YouTube – I like your style!
How does truss rod adjustment work?.. If its needed
Thanks Ed
- Longer fingers…. longer reach. Maybe that’s good…
@bassguitarmag what would hand size be as an advantage or disadvantage?
- Sure.
@bassguitarmag would hand size be part of the equation as well? Plus I usually play pick style or hybrid (finger and pick/slap etc)
- It depends on how you play. If you keep your wrist straight, it won’t hurt you, but it’s pretty bad technique unless all you play is one note rock.
Hi Ed, I play my bass lower on my body than others. Can that make a difference on the wrist issue?
I will ! it is just a twisted concept… I think I’m just very conservative and I can not get out of my head that Fender AS P-Bass V =) keep working on this, you have the access and we learn a lot about this wonderful instrument, just useful. Thanks for your time
- No it plays fine as you can see. I can’t explain the technology. Do a search for Little Guitar Works, he explains it on his website.
Does bring that angular set up some kind of problem? I mean does it buzzed? How does the calibration works? Thank you
Awesome!!! I love it!
- Well, I’ve never heard of this being a problem, and I’ve known the builder for about 5 years. I think your concerns are unfounded. The string is not twisted, it is in a straight line from point to point. Only the wood underneath it is twisted.
