@sergeantFirstClass87 “Mary Jane’s Last Dance” follows “Am, G, D, Am” (A Dorian mode), while “Dani California” follows “Am, G, Dm, Am” (A minor)…allegedly! The music industry blew a lot of hot air over this, but Tom Petty was reported as saying that a lot of songs sound alike.
