@pessimystica
btw, that timing link is to the actual SONG, not this video
@xplanet2112
yah, it was difficult for me too. All you have to do really is do what i did ages ago: repeat 3:10-3:40 over & over & over & over until you get it
I tabbed this by myself then… i don’t even think there were tabs of this at the time (late 90s), & if there were, they were usually wrong :-/
nice playing! i learned something about those ghosted notes… i’ve basically been playing it with the same fingerings & such, but i wasn’t ever sure what he was doing there, so thanks for explaining it. I don’t know about you guys, but this song used to tire my fingers when i was learning it, which was 10 years ago when i got to the level to be able to even attempt playing this after playing for about 4 years. I learned it as a cover in a band as well… it’s lots of fun to play!!
@bigjay1404
no kidding… what modern bass players can anyone think of??? mmmm, the only 1 that really comes to mind is Carlos D, but then he was obviously inspired by 80s bass players
sorry to be a pain in the neck, but i know i speak for other people when i ask this for you to reupload this in a better quality
btw awesome playing and i learned couple of DD songs from you, keep it up
@zumazmusic Are you in any bands where we can see you jam?
Cracking video lesson, tougher to play than it looks with all the percussive ghost notes!
Proves that John Taylor was more than just a teenybop idol: he could actually play!
Nice one zumazmusic. (and you’ve even got the same bass he used to use)

yo thanks dude! i had to learn this for a cover gig!
AMAZING! such a good player!
@BeyondDarwin – I have a Kubicki as well. They are truly great basses as well.
One of my favourite bass lines and basses! I will have one one of these days. I have a Kubicki right now which was also one of my favs growing up. Great work!
@xplanet2112 – Thanks for the comments. I have this bridge broken down slowly as an mp3 if you want it. Just follow the links to my homepage (from my channel) and e-mail me at my personal e-mail.
Yes, the sax part proved difficult for me to pick up too and I’ve not managed to do it yet!! So to anyone that can play this part.. nice one!! I think once I get an idea of the structure and fingering I’ll be able to manage it… maybe
One day I’m going to sit down with lots of coffie, a decent tab ( the music notation kind), and this video and crack it once and for all!!
