Traynors are amazing products. You can still buy original YBA-1′s online (Craigslist etc.) for about $500. These are the original hand wired babies from the 60′s. They sound fantastic and are relatively easy to repair an maintain given that they are hand wired. Rock on Traynor.

If Traynor wanted someone to demo their stuff at NAMM,I’d be more than happy to do it.

Super bummer that its not a reissue. Talk to anyone who owned one. They will tell you the og was the best

Jeremy was so impressed with the amp that he learned to play guitar just for this video. Seriously, looks like a cool amp, I’ll keep searching for a worthwhile demo.

because as the guy in the video said, it is an guitar amp. It was origanally a bass amp, but they’ve voiced it for guitars.

Then why not demonstrate it with a bass?

#7
Written By Metallimeister on February 23rd, 2013 @ 11:04 am

because it’s a bass amp but many guitarist use bass amps like fender bassman it’s more use by guitarist then bassist, bass amps have more heavy sound and are very reliable

Why is it called a bass master if it is a guitar amp?

Remake the yvm-1 with the attenuator on it! I love my yvm-1, but it’s too fucking loud.

Come on guys. At least make an attempt at producing a good demo. Poor guitar players, playing with an out of tune guitar? Makes me sick…

Strange that they don’t put out the same amount of heads and cabinets.
I suppose some people would just want the head?

I want both!

Traynor amps are so under-rated they are right up there with the guys that spend tons of money on advertising. The money you save stays in your pocket and doesn’t go into Slash’s! I own the YCV 80 212 it’s an awesome amp, I will never get rid of it!

Amazing how so many companies in Canada can produce products with reasonable retail prices. Keeping the jobs at home…kudos to you.

Just for the haters I love my gt100 it sounds amazing live where most of the line 6 stuff just didnt cut it because of all the extra programming you have to do. The things i dont like about the gt is some of the crazy crap like laser and some other bull they could just leave out. But its still far a superior unit for the money

I agree, though I have seen a pair of guitarists getting amazing tone out of a GT6 or a GT8 going straight to PA

Boss GT3, Gt6, GT8, GT10, Gt100 are all terrible amp emulators. They have horrible amp sounds that sound all the same. But they have a very good group of sound effects that are very usable…
So half of the unit does not do what they claim to do…They should lower the price 50%

i think the dullness in the sound mostly comes from the poor quality of the video and not from the gear, though its got the ”fatness” and thickness i like to hear that makes a mmmmm sound when you shred the high notes of the low stings

Absolutely disgusting sound……This kind of demo turns me of this unit… stereotypical horrible heavy metal sound that we only luckily hear on demo like this. Does anybody actually like this drivel?

There’s literally not one tone out of the whole video that’s even close to usable. It’s all so flat, not even kidding, my POD XT sounds better than this, and that sounds pretty bad already
