Vocals: Mike Tramp Guitar: Vito Bratta Bass: James Lomenzo Drums: Greg D’ Angelo The lyrics (Tramp, Bratta) are posted below: Little child Dry your crying eyes How can I explain The fear you feel inside ´cause you were born Into this evil world Where man is killing man and no one knows just why What have we become Just look what we have done All that we destroyed You must build again When the children cry Let them know we tried ´cause when the children sings The new world begins Little child You must show the way To a better day For all the young ´cause you were born For the world to see That we all can live In light and peace No more presidents And all the wars will end One united world under god When the children cry Let them know we tried ´cause when the children sings The new world begins What have we become Just look what we have done All that we destroyed You must build again No more presidents And all the wars will end One united world under god When the children cry Let them know we tried ´cause when the children fight Then we know it ain´t right When the children break Let them know we´re awake ´cause when the children sings The new world begins
Dream Theater – As I Am Progressive Metal Lyrics: [Lyrics by John Petrucci] Don’t Tell me what’s in Tell me how to write Don’t tell me how to win This fight Isn’t your life It isn’t your right To take the only thing that’s Mine Proven over time It’s over your head Don’t try to read between the Lines Are clearly defined Never lose sight of Something you believe in Takin’ in the view from the outside Feeling like the underdog Watching through the window I’m on the outside Living like the underdog I’ve been trying to justify you In the end I will just defy you To those who understand, I extend my hand To the doubtful I demand, take me as I am Not under your command, I know where I stand I won’t change to fit your plan, Take me as I am As I am Still Running uphill Swimming against the current I wish I weren’t so Fucked Feels like I’m stuck Lost in a sea of mediocrity ”Slow down, You’re thinking too much Where is your soul?” You cannot touch The way I Play Or tell me what to say You’re in the way Of all that I believe in Takin’ in the view from the outside Feeling like the underdog Watching through the window I’m on the outside Living like the underdog I’ve been wasting my breath on you Open minds will descend upon you To those who understand, I extend my hand To the doubtful I demand, take me as I am Not under your command, I know where I stand I won’t change to fit your plan, take me as I am

Where did this country go wrong? What event or whatever the circumstances where happened to make this country start going down hill and having so many issues. The baby boomers kept it going and now they passed it off and it starting to spiral out of control.

I’m 56 and this song means even more now than ever. If it doesn’t make you want to cry, you have no heart.

I remember when I was a kid, I always heard this song playing every afternoon somewhere i dont know, that I started waiting every afternoon for it, until the day I never heard it anymore.
Till now I still don’t know where the music came from.

the words speak for themselves and are very powerful…i just wish that children of today would take them to heart…all the bullying and fighting is doing nothing but destroying our kids.

@UndeadKnight12 I agree, 80′s music still the best because of its timeless meaning, heart warming, and artistry.

Im 17 years old and i even listen to this stuff, i listen to a lot of 80′s music, i hate all the rap and hip hop in todays world, nothing out there is good music anymore. This is good music music in which the songs had more meaning then todays music. Now music is about partying like crazy

@LightsOfShadows I’m talking about the Intro. Can’t deny it. Corrosion of Conformity has been around for years and were pretty Successful in the 90′s. Just B/C you don’t Know them doesn’t mean They aren’t Famous.

@ThEmB0nEz It doesn’t sound the same at all. It was like 3 minutes long while this is 8 minutes long. They’re not famous at all so why would Dream Theater make songs like theirs anyways?
