Sorry i ment 4001
Is that a Rickenbacker 3000?
Greatness!! do you remove the orginal bass that is played in the song so you can hear yours more clearer?
oh my gosh…so perfect.
love your videos, bring me back to when I was 13 and going crazy on YES. Also reminded me how technical that band was. thank you!
EPIC BASS PLAYER.
Never have been a big Yes fan, but “Roundabout” is an awesome song! You make that Rick sound great, too!
@lopezsanchezrafael oh chip
dude that is a rickenbacker that tom petty and george harrison played
@miguelbass I’m watching this and seeing you getting so into this song….i’m jamming along on my bass best i can. and it’s LOL compared to you. But this has to be top 5 is not greatest bass songs ever! you cant sit there and not tap your feet or nod your head. Well played my man…well played! also I hate you cause you own a Rickenbacker! (Not hate ENVY that is a sweet axe man)
Wow this is just incredible. I started playing bass about a year ago. I hope one day I can play my favourite Yes songs as well as you can!
Dude nice job this band changed my life
I LOVE Chris Squires bass tone! Very well done sir!
@miguelbass is there a dead note after you do the hammer-on on the A string (before you hammer on the d-string to the E)
I think 4 people are green with envy
Another outstanding video. Excellent ! Man, I would love to have you in my band !
I think this song is one of my favorites, that bass is just so much fun to listen to and watching you play it makes it even better. Well done !!!
Thank you so much! This is my favorite Yes song, and I’m a big Yes fan, btw when you play the electric guitar, what setting do you have the gain, bass, middle, treble, etc. for your amp?
Fantastic job!!
Question: Are the electronics in the Chris Squire Rick different from the stock setup in the 4003 and/or the 4001 v63? I had both and was never quite able to duplicate your (Chris Squire’s) sound. I had a hartke 7000 head with a Hartke XL215 and a Hartke 4×10 top cab and it sounded good but never really got close to this sound. It sounds pretty compressed and maybe that is the secret?
Thanks for posting. The end of the vid reminds me of a Steve Howe vid I saw. Excellent!!
Muito bom!
Very well put together video. Great job.
Great Job Bro! Fun Stuff!
Aloha Brother! Killer video, you did good! Your a Bad ASS bass player too, I enjoyed watching this, so thanks for posting, thank you very much, I live out here in hawaii so your reaching around the world!! When my bass playing gets to your level I’ll post a video too. I grew up with YES. My all time favorite YES song is Final Eyes. Everything they did is timeless Stay cool and keep posting these great videos.
Brad
Sounds like Simon. Is this Idols or X factor? What is happening??!
how do bar chords work when you move it down a string? like b minor? since its on the c sharp shouldnt it be c sharp major?
really helpful
@PikaJutsu You are not the only one
This is an awesome tutorial but really, my finger… I was tearing up just because of how hard I was pressing to get it to sound right. No matter what I do, including holding the guitar wrong just to see if it’s possible, I can’t make it sound right! No matter how straight my finger is, no matter how hard I press, it’s apparently never straight enough.
I’m assuming that these problems will go away with practice, but if I have to cry through every practice then this may be quite a bumpy ride…
great tutorial! very well job
Awesome instruction — thanks.
this guy takes the piss ha
This guy cracks me the fk up!!!
awesome lesson though
This us hard with tiny hands
@NerdyPooStainZ I see the comment is over a week old so you might have gotten it already…but what you have to do is hold it down with all your might. You will get it eventually.
Anybody else think that improvisation he did at 6:10 was beautiful?
I’m gonna learn it now lol
God bless this man!
I’m trying to play bob segers night moves and I can’t bar for the f chord any suggestions ? ? ?
Great Work man..100/100
Great Work man..
@arrowtome yeah, try changing the position of your first finger, so the joint is over the g string

good lesson. and anybody notice how he pronounces “around”? i’d like to know how much pussy this guy gets. it’s probably a lot.
its weird, I find bar chords very easy , maybe its cause I play for a long time but this vid is really cool !
when i put the next two fingers on after the bar the g string dies
These are fun!!!!
and I’m a drummer, my guitarist left his equipment at his house and I’m having quite a lot of fun hahaha
