Bass Guitar Scale - Minor Pentatonic Bass Guitar Scale

The bass guitar scale know as the minor pentatonic scale is used widely by blues bass players and under minor chords. I use this bass guitar blues scale for playing rock, blues and under any minor chord in any music style.

I play the minor pentatonic bass guitar scale by playing the following notes from your major scale: 1 -b3 - 4 - 5 - b7. In the key of C the bass guitar scale would be C - Eb - F - G -Bb. It’s the scale of C minor without the 2 or 6 notes. The following image shows you how to play the pentatonic minor scale.
